One of the things we love!

We are having a busy week with bunch of pictures to edit, albums to design, slideshows to prepare... and have I said before that I love it all? We love editing pictures, we love designing albums (actually, Nate is the expert at this), we love taking pictures. It just makes us happy! We are hoping to post more pictures during this week, but while we do so, we wanted to leave you with a suggestion, or we can call it, one of the things we love! And it's blogging! We love reading blogs! And there are many blogs we keep in our bookmark that I check every day (specially photography blogs!). There is one of them that I usually check the first, and that's the Stark family blog! Not because they are my aunt and uncle... well, maybe it is... but I love seeing the experiences, lives, and ministry of missionaries. That's what God has planned for Nate and me, so all I can learn from missionary families, I'll take it! The Starks are missionaries to Spain, specifically to Granada. They have a huge burden for lost souls and they're doing a great job down there. Her last post really touched my heart! So I encourage you to check it out!

She is actually having a give away! And we're gonna see them in a weeks!!!!! We can't wait! It's been 2 years since the last time we saw them!!!!

By the way! We would like to start to blog about some frequently asked questions, so if you have any, shoot us en email! I'm very excited about this!!!

Have a great day!

A wonderful ladies array!

What a great ladies array we had at our church!!! It was so good and helped me so much! I learned a little bit of cooking chicken recipes, how to be a good wife, how to pray effectively, and my favorite that helped me the most, how to encourage people! All of them were a blessing, but it´s just that this last one taught me things that I had not heard before :) They talked about how each person has a different personality, therefore, things that encourage us might not encourage them. Something that sounds very obvious but that not always pops in our heads when we are trying to encourage somebody! (at least in mine) We learned about different personalities with their corresponding needs, virtues, etc... So great!

And of course, the prayer class was really good too! It talked about how our prayers need to include confession, adoration, thanksgiving, and supplication. It´s true, sometimes I include them all except for adoration.... and it is so important!!! But I am truly working on it! I know God hears and answers prayers because He has done it in my life so much! And I´m so thankful for it! So I´m so excited about increasing my prayer life and it is something I´m trying to do more every day! God blesses so much!

I´ll be posting some information about our new products! Something I´m looking forward!
We will let you know soon!!!!

Have a wonderful day!!!

Ohhhh fridays!

Me playing around with our 50mm 1.4 :) Love the depth of field!!!! It was placed on my coffee table and behind is my bouquet and the couch

I love fridays! After such a busy week, friday evening is when I take the time to just relax, watch a movie, catch up with some filing, etc... And of course, spending time with my husband and being able to go to bed without worrying about having to get up early the next day! I just love the feeling! I know it will change when we start our wedding season though, but we're looking forward to it!!!

Today has been a special friday! I got a huuuuuge bouquet of daisies with a rose from my wonderful husband! I totally didn't expect it!!!! But I loved the surprise! It just made my day! And early in the morning I received chocolates, a mug, and a starbucks gift card from the kids I teach! It was perfect! :)

In the evening, while waiting for Nate to come home, I decided to watch Flywheel! I had never heard about this movie before, but after spending months looking forward to being able to have FIREPROOF on dvd, I decided to just go ahead and buy the package! It was a good deal, you get 2 movies for almost the price of 1! And the best part is that we knew it would be a Christian movie that we will be able to watch during family time (when our family grows, hehe), or when friends and family come over!!! And of course, being from the same church that made FIREPROOF, it had to be a great movie!!! FIREPROOF is still my favorite, no doubt!!! But Flywheel is one of the best movies I have ever seen!!! It is such a reflection of what a little bit of faith can do in your life!!! Faith has a greater power than what most of us think, but it is so hard to really have that faith, that sometimes we miss the blessings that faith brings! And I include myself here!

I really enjoyed watching this movie because I can see and have experienced it in my own life!!! And although sometimes I catch myself lacking the faith I should have, I always try to remember the days when God has proved His power and faithfulness to us! And that has helped me and encouraged me to live a life placed in God's hands! Since I did that, our life, our marriage, our business, everything has been better! God just knows what is best for us! :D And I get to enjoy a life with no worries, because I know I can place my cares upon Him and He will take care of me if I just have that faith!

Now, I think it's time for me to go back to the living room and watch FIREPROOF again, lol
But if you have the chance, I encourage you to watch this movie! I love it love it love it!
Have a wonderful night and stay tuned for our upcoming sneak peek :) I can't wait for that one!!!!

Living a humble life

This week, we are having a Super Conference in our church! And it is being such a blessing! There was a sermon that really got my attention yesterday. The preacher talked about proudness. Sometimes, we forget how great and good our God is! And this helped me remember that we are so little compared to Him! So many verses in the Bible talk about how God will bless those that are humble! And something very important to me is to remember that all the things I can do, it's because God has given me that ability, or we could say, that gift. I am so thankful for the things God has allowed me to do! Without Him, we would not be able to accomplish all the things we have accomplished. Photography is one of them! It is something we love and after much prayer, God has allowed us to grow and learn so much in the past months! But like I always say: there is a lot more we need to learn!
We never share a lot about ourselves when we blog, so we figured we would share a little about what God has been speaking to us lately. We trust that He will do the best with whatever we give to Him, and He has proved it to us in many ways!
We are so excited about the little projects we have for the next months!
Have a wonderful day!

A little update

I know it has been a while since I´ve posted anything. I´ve kept myself very busy! I´m working on my branding, designing things, editing pictures, etc. But I really enjoy doing all this! Today I received some Christmas cards and birth announcements that I ordered. I absolutely love them!!! They turned out better than I expected! So that encouraged me even more to design others, lol. This one I posted can actually be used for many purposes: announcements, party invitations, christmas cards, etc. And it gives you the chance to put 4 pictures in case you can't decide what your favorite picture is! It's also perfect for families! Plus, you can change the colors to any color you want!

Don´t forget about the discount if you order yours before november!

I would like to post a slideshow with the wedding pictures, but I´m going to have to wait till next month. I want to do the very best, so I´m waiting till I go to the seminary in Nashville, where I know I will be able find good stuff! I´ll keep posting new pictures every once in a while!

While all this, God has been blessing us greatly! He keeps answering prayers, and that increases our faith in Him! He is so faithful and merciful! I started reading a book! God blessed me with a great book that is helping me to be the best help meet for my husband! And honestly, it´s helping me a lot, and everyday I´m more excited about reading more and more books! Nate loves reading, so that`s encouraging me even more. Plus my aunt Pilar, who loves reading, is encouraging me too :D

Hey! As you guys saw, we have a little poll thing! We would like to see what photographt style you all like, so feel free to give your answer!!

Thank  you!! Have a great day!

Sorry for no posting!

As you can see, we haven't posted anything for a long time! It's been a busy week because Nate has been working 12-14 hours a day! I feel so bad!!! But tomorrow or monday we're getting the 70-200 2.8 that we rented!!!! I can't wait to use it!!! so we'll be testing it and taking more pics!
And by the way, we're going to a wedding photography seminary directed by David Jay!!! For those who have no idea, he has been recognized as the #1 wedding portrait photographer in the world and one of the best 15 photojournalistic wedding photographers. So we area all excited for what he's going to be teaching about!!! The seminary will be in September, and we can't wait!!!
God continues to bless us every day! He really is good to us!!! And I feel like I don't thank Him enough for all the things He has done and is doing in our lives!!!!
Want a verse to share? Galatians 6:9 "And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." This is actually my life verse :D And it's so true! God gives us great things, greater than what we give! Every time we do something little, God gives us something huge!!! It's been like that in all my Christian life, and it's what has always helped me stay strong!
Have a great day, and thank you again for reading my blog!

God's promises

Another verse I read yesterday during my devotional and that I love!
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
This is was an answer to my prayers, since I'm praying for my family's salvation. I know God will do a mighty work, and I just have to keep praying faithfully :)

I posted some more pictures of Joel on our website if you would like to take a look at it! :D

Giving diligence to our calling

A couple of days ago, as I was doing my devotional, there was a verse that really got my attention. It is something I have always kept in mind, and it has always helped me stay on what God has called me to do. Every time I have a little doubt about what whether I should change something or not, I just tell myself: "God showed you what the right thing to do was, right? You followed His guidance, right? Has He told you to change it? No.... I guess it means that I have to just be patience and just wait for Him to show me every little step I have to take." Actually, Paqui was the one helping me one time when I was trying to decide whether I should switch colleges or no when I was a freshman. Since that conversation, this has worked for many decisions in my life and it has allowed me to use it to be a help to others! So when I read this verse yesterday, it just made me remember God's faithfulness and goodness. We just need to have faith that God will always do the perfect thing at the right time. He has showed me this during my whole Christian life, and I can never thank Him enough for it! :D
2 Peter 1:10 "Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall." We also need to remember that no matter how long ago or how long till... if God called us to do something, we need to stick to it! It can be days, months, years... till we get to do it, but God is faithful!!!!! And as the verse says, we will never fall if we always keep in our heart what God has called us to do and to be :)
I thought I would share this with you all! Have a wonderful day!!!!!!!!
