Welcome to our blog! We are missionaries to Spain who use photography to be a blessing to other missionaries and pastors. Since then, God has truly blessed our hobby and we are enjoying taking pictures even more! Feel free to comment! We love hearing about people and sharing experiences on photography, missions, and God!

We're back!!!!

So after two weeks in Spain, we are now back in the US! We've been soooo busy, so we barely had time to write any post! We're so sorry!
But we had a great time in Spain and we will post more pictures! Right now we are still out of it from the airplane and the jet lag :) But we are very excited about how things went during this trip! God has blessed us so much! He keeps blessing and blessing our lives!
We got to spend a lot of time with my mom, siblings, nephew and nieces, cousins, etc... we missed my family a lot! Now we can't wait to go visit Nate's family!
This was the first time Nate got to spend Christmas in Spain! and it was his second trip to Spain (first being married!). So he got to learn about our Christmas traditions and he really enjoyed it! We ate turron, jamon, manchego cheese, seafood, and a lot of other very yummy things.
The last day there we went to Madrid city to see Cortilandia, to eat there, and to do some shopping. Nate got me the coat I had been looking for (and on sale!! I love it so much!) and we ate at a traditional Spanish restaurant where the first plate was buffet style (we ate too much, but it's food we won't be able to eat for a while!).
There were so many things going on that it is very hard for me to tell you about the whole trip! But in conclusion, it was amazing, full of blessings! and we can't wait to go back!
Here is a picture of us in Campo Real! This is a very old but beautiful town! I love these little villages! We went there with my family and took some pictures of my sister and her husband, that we will post later on. But I liked the backgrounds so much, that I asked my sister to take some pictures of us too! She did great! I think that from now on I'm just gonna ask her to take pictures of us every time we need new pictures! :D
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and we are sorry we were not able to write much during this trip!

Christmas Photo Session: my mom and my niece

Here are a couple of pictures of the photo session we did for our family!!! My mom and niece look beatiful!!!

More pics of our fall photo shoot!

As we said on our post, we are posting more pictures of our fall photo session! Finally we have more pictures of us! I can´t wait to print a big canvas of one of them for our living room! I´ve been wanting to do that for a while! Now, I did notice that Nate is looking at me in many of these pictures! But honestly, most of these pictures were improvised, trying to improvise the pose to make them look more natural :D Now that I have a new haircut I wish I could get new ones taken! But oh well, it will have to wait!
We will be posting more pictures of recent sessions!
Have a wonderful day!

I love my husband!

So I had wanted some professional pictures taken for a long time! We've tried different things around our house, but taking so many pictures of other couples makes me wanna have pictures of ourselves outside! Today it was the perfect day! a whole day to ourselves, a tripod, and a lot of love! So we went to a park and set the tripod and just played around, experimented new poses, new angles, etc. It was so much fun! Today has been one of those special days to us when we just know that we are soooo much in love!!!! :D We know it every day of course! but today is our special day! Nathan I love you with all my heart!

There are more to come, but here is a sneak peek!!!!

New look and December availability!

New style for our website and blog! During these past months we have been working on personalizing our business. We have designed a new style for our portrait website and blog, and will be working on updating our Spanish website with these new features! God has been blessing us and our business so much! Thank you all for being a part of it!

For the month of December, we will only have three days available for regular photo sessions (1-2 hours photo sessions). This would be December 6, 11 and 29. Let us know if you are interested in booking a photo session for any of these days! :) Our Christmas Special Edition photo sessions (30 minute sessions) will be available from December 1 to December 11.

We are very excited about the sessions we have had this month and are looking forward to seeing the ones that God is providing for the month of December!! :D

Have a wonderful day!!!

Sneak Peek: Stephen and Jacqueline

And here are Stephen and Jacqueline!!!! We had a great time with them taking pictures downtown! The weather was perfect, and the light was just even more perfect!!! God had the day prepared for us! We spent about two hours taking pictures, and we found so many cute spots, and at the very end we tried a special one that we will reveal in a future post ;) As always, the pictures at the end of the photo shoot are the ones that we end up liking the most!
They were such a cute couple to photograph! And she had such beautiful green eyes! I love how they turned out in the pictures! :D
Thank you Stephen and Jacqueline!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

So we are having a little banquet over here! Toasted bread with olive oil and parsley, prosciutto, and manchego cheese, stuffing, mashed potatoes, stuffed crust pizza, eggnog...! I know, it doesn't match at all, but we just got a little bit of all the little things that we like. And of course, we needed to put a little from our Spain origins in our Thanksgiving meal! I missed manchego cheese with prosciutto so much!!! If you have never tried it, I highly recommend you to! Thanks to my mother-in-law for this meal, she's great!
We also would like to thank God for all His blessings and goodness. For how good He takes cares of us and our things when we put it all in His hands! And for drawing us closer to Him each day! Praise God for salvation too! We are so thankful that He sent His only Son to die for our sins, and to give us salvation! :) We have a great God!
I just thought I would drop a little note :)
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Chad & Tristin

Today we had the opportunity to do an "In Love" photo session with Chad and Tristin. We met them at college, and they've been married for a few years. The first thing I asked them when I saw them was: "are you guys nervous?" And they said: "No, nervous why?" :D So as you can see in the pictures, they were not nervous at all! (as far as I know!) They did so great!!!! I love it when photo sessions go so smooth! They just knew what to do the whole time, they were so sweet to each other, and we found a few cool new spots to try new poses! I loved that there was no pressure, plenty of time to experiment with new backgrounds, angles, poses, etc. We had a lot of fun with them! They're a very cool couple :)
Thank you Chad and Tristin!!! We hope you like them as much as we do!!!

Our weekend!

So we thought that from now on our weekends would be exclusively to relax since during the week we just work and study and work and work... but nope! It just keeps getting busier every time! But praise God things always work out and it is for the better! This weekend we found the place where we want to live! We just have to pray that God will work it all out! And I'm sure He will because He has been blessing us so much and answering all our prayers! The place where we want to move is perfect! We just love it! Our cousin Fran found it for us :) Thank you Fran! He is being such a blessing to us with all this moving process! So, like I said, we're praying and hopefully we'll have our new home soon :)

This Sunday was picture Sunday for the Spanish ministry at our church! It was really fun! We took pictures of every family! It was a new challenge because we had never done this before, but it was really fun! It was a beautiful day so we were able to take pictures outside on a cute little bench in the only cute corner where there was a shade. And that shade was perfect! It made the pictures turn out with a really good light! Today I finished editing all the pictures and preparing them to get them printed, and all the families look so cute! The only problem was: Nate and I DID NOT get our picture taken!!!!!!!!!!!!! I completely forgot!!!!!! We had our friend Emili help us write down the names of the families and at the end I forgot to ask her to take a picture of us! (btw, thank your for your help Emili!) So I guess we'll have to fix or substitute that picture, and I already have in my head what I want to do... but I won't say anything till it's done! wohoooo!!!!

We have more sessions coming up this week so stay tuned!

Have a great day!

Charity

Today Charity and I went out to take some pictures of her! She's so pretty!!! I knew she would make very good pictures! We met here in TN a couple of months ago. She's learning Spanish and she's doing really good! I can't wait to see her visit us in Spain!
We shot pictures for about an hour, since it gets dark so fast! The light was super low and I had to bring up the ISO a lot. But it worked really good, the light was low but gorgeous, and we got a lot of pictures that I love! She did so great! At the second pose, she already knew what to do, I didn't even have to tell her what to do! It's like she knew what I wanted :)
Thank you Charity!!! I can't wait to show you the rest! See you in a few days ;)
