Welcome to our blog! We are missionaries to Spain who use photography to be a blessing to other missionaries and pastors. Since then, God has truly blessed our hobby and we are enjoying taking pictures even more! Feel free to comment! We love hearing about people and sharing experiences on photography, missions, and God!

Steve and Stacie

Here is a few of my favorites from Steve and Stacie's wedding. I met Stacie a year ago at a Photography workshop and second shot for her at a wedding in March. When she asked us to be her photographers, I was so surprised! You know, it's always a little intimidating to take pictures for another photographer :) But she let us just use our own creativity and made us feel like home that day! We had a great time! The wedding theme was so beautiful. She got married at her dad's house, and had an outdoor reception there. Every little detail was taken care for, from drinks tags to wedding plans/fans, etc. It was beautiful! :)
Thank you guys for everything! God bless your marriage!

Nate playing around with our macro lens. I was sooooo... wowed! when I saw this picture!

This one was taken by Nate. He always gets these little details as I shoot the portraits. I love it!

I love seeing how the bride and groom look at each other during the ceremony :)

Our new life-style! We love it!

I am now enjoying a calm and relaxing time at home. This is the time of the day, where I just rest. It is my scheduled time to rest and I enjoy resting! After all, that's what everybody recommends to all pregnant women, and now I understand why! I get so tired if I don't rest a little every day. I sometimes get even sick! So I'm caring about my baby and me, and I'm resting! ;) Most of you know that a couple of months ago we got to a point where the word rest or calm did not exist in our vocabulary. It was work work and work! And what's the point of living a life where you do not get to enjoy what God has given you or where do you just rush in anything you do including what God appoints you to do? To us, serving God is our main goal, and I knew we had to cut out some work when I realized that even the time I used for God, I used it rushing and worried about everything else! So we prayed, and God blessed! God blesses those that put Him as the priority of our lives. And I know I want to keep improving at it, but He truly blesses! I am now able to get up late enough to have a good night rest, have a longer time for my daily devotionals and prayer, eat a healthy breakfast for my little baby, check my emails, and just take my time to get ready for the day! I love it!

He has also given me one of the best jobs ever. Although we do photography and own this business, and we are still going to do it like we have been doing so far, I have another job I know I have to give more to, because it's for God! I am now able to serve God even at my job! What a blessing is that!! So God has allowed me to teach at my church academy 2 hours a day. I've been teaching for 2 days and I already love it! Apart from those 2 hours, I do office work for the Spanish ministry and help in the american church office a few hours a week. I had been helping before in all the office work for the Spanish ministry, but time did not allow me to help as much as I wanted. And I'm a computer nerd, let's face it! I love designing, I love preparing documents and I love helping and making other people's lives easier! Which is the job of a secretary! So here I am, being able to design church bulletins, websites, prayer cards, letterheads, slideshows, etc etc as part of my job and loving it! It is a job where God has placed me to serve Him and I'm very thankful for that!

The rest of the day, except church days, I am able to get home early, relax, then cook, and get the house looking good. As a wife, it was a little frustrating not to have all the time I needed to do this! So I am so thankful I can now cook, be able to eat healthy mediterranean food, which I miss so much! And take care of the home. Then I have plenty of time the rest of the day for photo shoots, photo editing, album designing, etc. But at least, I know have a more organized schedule where I can do all the things that need to be done including my daily resting and having quality time with my wonderful husband! :)
So I wanted to share with you guys how much I love this and how thankful I am to God! He is taking care of us so much!

By the way, in case you were wondering what I'm teaching, I'm teaching English! yessss! sounds contradictory since I'm a Spaniard, but I have always loved grammar in every language! And computer, one of my favorite things to do! Now I'm off to finish today's supper! Lentils or how we would say in Spain: Lentejas a la Riojana! Healthy, yummy, and easy to make! Now, the brownie I probably will end up eating afterward will ruin my healthy habit, lol

Stay tuned for more picture posts!!! We have many pictures to share with you!

Have a wonderful day and thank you for being so faithful to read our blog!

The Stark Family

Here is a few favorites I picked from the photo shoot we did for the Stark family! Many of you know they are missionaries to Spain and we are actually related. They are my uncle, aunt and cousins (young cousins, everybody thinks they're my nieces, but everybody thinks Pilar is my sister, not my aunt!)
They have been a blessing to us when we have been to Spain to visit and they helped Nate a lot when he went on his first missions trip to Spain. He learned a lot from Matthew and really enjoyed it! So the least we could do was thank them with this photo session. Plus, those girls are beautiful, any photographer would love to photograph them! :D They three are so different but so cute! I love them!

Stephen and Jacqueline: slideshow

Stephen and Jacqueline's wedding was a wedding full of love, fun, and you could see each family member just enjoying and loving one another throughout the whole event! I loved seeing their feelings and emotions! Not only that, they were just the nicest people I have ever met! Jacqueline was trying to help everybody and just run around doing all things possible! Till she told her friend that was doing her hair: hey, why don't you do the bridesmaids hair and I'll see what I can do with mine that way you don't need to rush? - So here is when we had to stop that! Jacqueline, you were the bride! It's your day and your time to relax and enjoy it! So we made her sit and didn't let her do anything else, lol I saw her trying to curl one piece of hair when her friend turned around! But you know, the photographer is always alert, so I was able to stop her from doing that! :D It was just too cute!

By the way, thank you to all the family members that have cared and worried for me so much at these last weddings! Weddings are not as easy being pregnant, and I admit I get tired faster during weddings! But God has allowed me to work with wonderful people that have made my day easier, and a wonderful husband taking care of the major works when I don't feel good! :)

THANK YO SOOOO MUCH! But guess what? I'm passed my first trimester! No more nausea or dislike for food! And we thank God for a healthy baby :)

Stephen and Jacqueline, you guys are one of the cutest couples I have seen! And we hope that God blesses your marriage greatly! Here is the slideshow!

A different wedding

We haven't talked much on our blog lately! Apart from our trip, the rest of the time we've been trying to get things settled and done. We've been mostly shooting weddings (some family and children sessions too) and we are loving it! But last friday, we had the opportunity to go to a wedding as guests! I was looking forward to it because after all summer shooting weddings, I didn't remember what it felt like to be a guest! I loved it! (I prefer shooting weddings, don't take me wrong!). Here is a picture of us before the reception :) I didn't even bring my camera to stay away from temptation of even shooting one picture, lol so my cousin Ashley took it for us!

For the rest, we are doing great! God is blessing my pregnancy so much! There have been some days with sicknesses, one specially last thursday where I could NOT get out of bed! But honestly, I'm feeling great! People have been taking care of me so much, I can't complain and I'm very thankful for that!

We will be posting some pictures of other sessions and maybe... who knows? A contest???? We'll let you know!

Have a happy monday!
