Don´t really like being sick...

I was taking soooooo seriously posting on our blog! I thought I was doing so well and it seems like lately I have barely posted anything!!!! We have more photo shoots coming up that we will be posting about, but there has been a 2 week period where I felt .... miserable! Yeah, for the first time in my life, I had a sinus infection! It took me like 7 days to realize that it wasn´t a simple cold, so all that time was a time of suffering and pain... I know that as a spaniard I tend to exaggerate things a little bit, but believe me, not this time! I really suffered!!! And I didn´t like it at all! But thank God I have a wonderful husband that took care of me and after finally realizing what it was and taking antibiotics, in two days I felt unbelievably good! So excited about not having pressures and headaches that I just wanted to do a million of things and decided to just clean, decorate, organize papers, etc etc

But now I feel great and I am sooooo excited about this nice weather! Every time I see good weather I just think about photography and milkshakes... not really sure what they have to do with each other, but since we tried Cheeburger Cheeburger we want to try every milkshake flavor possible... and photography, it´s just that seeing the beautiful light, new locations, flowers, trees... it´s so inspiring! I can´t wait to try the new ideas that are coming through our heads!!!!

We are also very excited about the photo contest! It is such a great opportunity for parents! You still have time to get your pictures taken! Let us know if you would like to participate!

I will be posting more images from the wedding and the upcoming photo sessions :)

Have a wonderful day!

Cute little Ian

You probably remember this cutie from the family photo session we did for David and Favianna. We didn´t post single portraits of little Ian because we were leaving it for a separate post of just him (even thought it was mainly a family session and we just took a few shots of just him, but that´s how cute he is!) I´m not gonna lie, but he mooooooved from place to place quite a bit! But hey, that´s how boys are! And that gives you a lot of opportunities of getting every little gesture and expression making his portraits just UNIQUE :)
Nothing we can´t deal with and definitely even better with the help of his parents! Those faces he made were just so funny and cute! Here are just a few!

Interesting....

Our perfect anniversary!

As I mentioned on our last post, saturday was our first wedding anniversary! We would have loved to go on a little vacation, but we had other things to do during the weekend. so we really couldn't take a whole weekend off. But honestly, it couldn't have been any better! (despite my impatience :)  ) Yeah...in the morning I was acting a little impatient (poor Nate, even though he wrote me the sweetest letter and gave me the most romantic card), thinking that he hadn't prepared anything for me... I know, I get a little silly! He had to pretend the whole time that there wasn't anything else because he knows I'll get it out of him if I know even a tiny hint. I even told him a couple of weeks before that I didn't want any gift because he already bought me so much for my birthday and Valentine's! So he told me that he hadn't prepared anything special. Finally as the day went on, he told me that he had reserved a table at the Melting Pot! And yes, you have to reserve a table because they get reaaaally booked reaaaaally fast! I had no clue that restaurant was so awesome! I knew it was good but not nearly as great as it really is! Nate had told them, when he reserved  the table, that it was our first anniversary, so they had a happy anniversary card on the table for us. He also bought a special package to surprise me with the cutest little things! With this package, they placed a rose on the table for me, took a picture of us and put it on a frame, and when I got to the car, they had put a bunch of balloons with a teddy bear on my seat!!!! I thought it was the sweetest thing! He just knows me too well and know that little details like that brighten my days!

The food was incredibly good! The first cheese fondue was delicious. The salad was simple, elegant and so tasty! The second fondue with the meat, chicken and fish was the best I have ever tried. But the third fondue was just.... exquisite... white chocolate with caramel and a plate with strawberries, bananas, brownies, cheesecake...and something else I can't remember the name of :) all that to dip in the chocolate fondue. I would go there every day just for the chocolate fondue!

I was so happy with the whole meal! It's honestly the best restaurant I've been to, even out of all the restaurants from Madrid! And for those that know me, you know I wouldn't say that about a restaurant if it were not a really really really good restaurant...

I know I just wrote a whole post dedicated just to the Melting Pot... But that's just the highlight of the day! The rest of the day was very special, doing the things that I love to do with the person I love to be with the most. I was sick but God helped me feel better as the day went on and got my voice back! I was able to enjoy the day and just realize how much I love my husband. I am just so thankful for my life with Nate and how much God is blessing us! I just can't get over what a great husband He has given me! And I praise Him for it :)

We took some pictures with my phone, so I will download them as soon as I can.

Have a wonderful day! And thank you for stopping by ;)

First year anniversary!!!

Today we are celebrating our first year anniversary! I can´t believe it has been a year already! And we are looking forward to the special moments God is going to bring to our marriage. He has blessed our marriage so much already! And He has given me such a wonderful husband!!!
The worst part: I have been sick all week and ended up losing my voice! So today I´m gonna have to spend the whole day just whispering...I hate not being able to talk! I´m too talkative for that, lol
We getting ready to go out! But I figured I would leave you a couple of pictures.

Here is March, 14th 2008

And here is March, 14th 2009!! Bad picture but we were in a hurry and just took it with our mac photo booth, hehe

Enoch and Andrea

Enoch and Andrea are our friends from Tennessee. They moved to the north a couple of years ago (where they are actually from), but we met through my good friend and awesome roommate Sarah! I had the best semester at college ever (before meeting Nate) the semester Sarah and I were roommates! Going to the gym at 12 am, watching movies, going out with friends, it was just a so much fun!!! Then she left, which was suuuuper sad! But I met my wonderful husband the next semester and that's when Nate and Arancha's love story started!
Back to the subject, Enoch is Sarah's brother, and that's how I met Enoch and Andrea. I hadn't seen them for about 2 years and a half, and it was so nice seeing them again! There is not much I can say about how they are. You can just see it! They just seemed so happy and so in love! And it made me feel so happy to see them like that! I love these photo sessions!!!! And this one particularly was amazing!!!! They were so natural posing that I wish they lived closer to us so we could take pictures of them whenever! :)
Enoch and Andrea, thank you so much for choosing us to do your pictures! :D

Here is a cutie!

This girl is one of the smartest girls I have ever seen! She knew how to pose when asked to, she talked perfectly, she just does such cute things and she is only 2!!! How is that possible? One of the things that made me laugh the whole time is that when I asked her to smile for me, she would say: ho, ho, ho! So cute! We really enjoyed taking these pictures and this girl did an amazing job! Isn´t she great?
