David, Favianna, and Ian are going to be missionaries to Spain. What a blessing! It makes me so happy to hear that more and more people are willing to serve God there! And I can't wait till we can do the same some day! You probably remember David, from our All the Glory photo shoot when we first started our business! He sings together with his sisters in a Christian music group and last summer they released their new Cd in Spanish. Check it out here!

Favianna contacted us a few months ago to do their family pictures. We all had a hard time trying to find the right day for this session, but it was worth it to wait! They had to come to Alabama and made a stop in Huntsville. And we had a great time! We hadn't had the opportunity to get to know Favianna before because the only time we met her was during our wedding, so it was great to be able to talk to her more and hear about their future plans :) We really enjoyed taking these pictures a lot and spending some time with them!

Who doesn´t love a good birthday shopping?

I know I keep posting about myself, but this month happened to be one of the coolest months of the year! February has Valentine´s day and my birthday! And that means presents, surprises, wonderful times with Nate... Today Nate totally prohibited me to book any session or do any plans. He had a surprise for me but didn´t tell me till today, early in the morning. He wanted to take me shopping to Atlanta to buy my birthday gifts!!!!! He knows that shopping is one of my passions, and Atlanta has most of my favorite stores, including Zara and Ikea! So we headed there this morning, did some clothes shopping, visited Ikea (I wanted to buy the whole store but only ended up with a mirror, how is that possible?), and then went to my favorite restaurant for dinner and dessert! It was perfect! The worst part: having to drive home all the way back in the same day... we were soooo tired that it was a little hard! But nothing that cannot be done with prayer and God on our side!

I´m totally looking forward to taking more pictures this coming week!!!! I will keep you posted!!!!

The picture I´m posting I took a couple of months ago, but today I was looking through our pictures and realized that I had never posted it. And I think they look so cute! This couple is just amazing! We really thank God for them and can´t wait to see them! :)

My perfect Valentine's day

I know it has been a while since Valentines, but I have not had time to write about it :) It was so wonderful that I needed to share it with you!

After the bouquet of daisies that Nate got me the day before, he got me a box with the best chocolates ever, and gave it to me when we got up in the morning! Ferrero Rocher! I've loved those chocolates since I was very little. I remember seeing my mom getting Ferrero Rocher and I would be soooo excited to be able to eat them! I even remember getting a whole box to myself and eating them all in an hour. Now that I think about it, how in the world could I fit so many of those in my stomach?

So back to the subject, Nate got me my favorite chocolates and wrote me a beautiful letter! Then we had a photo shoot with a very cool family, and then he took me out for some Starbucks, walked around beautiful streets, and went to dinner to PF Chang!!!

To end the day, we watched a love movie at home :) A perfect day! I love my husband! Have I ever said that here on the blog? I just looooooove him and I am so blessed to have him in my life! :)

Sneak Peek: Velasquez Family

Ohhhh fridays!

I love fridays! After such a busy week, friday evening is when I take the time to just relax, watch a movie, catch up with some filing, etc... And of course, spending time with my husband and being able to go to bed without worrying about having to get up early the next day! I just love the feeling! I know it will change when we start our wedding season though, but we're looking forward to it!!!

Today has been a special friday! I got a huuuuuge bouquet of daisies with a rose from my wonderful husband! I totally didn't expect it!!!! But I loved the surprise! It just made my day! And early in the morning I received chocolates, a mug, and a starbucks gift card from the kids I teach! It was perfect! :)

In the evening, while waiting for Nate to come home, I decided to watch Flywheel! I had never heard about this movie before, but after spending months looking forward to being able to have FIREPROOF on dvd, I decided to just go ahead and buy the package! It was a good deal, you get 2 movies for almost the price of 1! And the best part is that we knew it would be a Christian movie that we will be able to watch during family time (when our family grows,hehe), or when friends and family come over!!! And of course, being from the same church that made FIREPROOF, it had to be a great movie!!! FIREPROOF is still my favorite, no doubt!!! But Flywheel is one of the best movies I have ever seen!!! It is such a reflection of what a little bit of faith can do in your life!!! Faith has a greater power than what most of us think, but it is so hard to really have that faith, that sometimes we miss the blessings that faith brings! And I include myself here!

I really enjoyed watching this movie because I can see and have experienced it in my own life!!! And although sometimes I catch myself lacking the faith I should have, I always try to remember the days when God has proved His power and faithfulness to us! And that has helped me and encouraged me to live a life placed in God's hands! Since I did that, our life, our marriage, our business, everything has been better! God just knows what is best for us! :D And I get to enjoy a life with no worries, because I know I can place my cares upon Him and He will take care of me if I just have that faith!

Now, I think it's time for me to go back to the living room and watch FIREPROOF again, lol 

But if you have the chance, I encourage you to watch this movie! I love it love it love it!

The comments were all so sweet! And so encouraging! It just got us more excited about photography and gave us more motivation to keep capturing people's lives, love, and emotions! We really loved all the comments we received!!! Thank you again!!! It is going to be so hard to see who will win!

I wanted to share something else with you guys!!! After a year of marriage and the previous 5 months being engaged and NOT WORKING OUT AT ALL... I finally went to the gym yesterday!

You know, I was known as a gym addicted person that would not eat normal food without previously running for an hour... and I have no idea what happened to me! Once I got engaged, all I did was eating and stay busy with no exercise! Although I must say that I love being able to just drink Starbucks and eat nutrageous without feeling guilty and that's not gonna change, lol 

So now that we are all settled in Huntsville and know what our schedules look like, we were able to fit some gym time in it! I had totally forgotten how much I loved working out! I'm so excited!!!! Now I just have to keep it going!!!!

Victor and Mayra

I met Victor and Mayra about 4 years ago. They are one of the cutest couples in my church and they have 4 beautiful daughters!!! Mayra has been a great encouragement to me! She is one of the strongest women I've met in my life! And she has such a faith in God! They are a very fun family and I really enjoy their company! 

A few months ago, she asked me about our photography services. Now that we are living in Huntsville, we were able to finally do their pictures! And I loved seeing Victor and Mayra just having fun! They all are so photogenic that I didn't have to worry about anything! Just poses and camera settings! 

I really love this family!!
