Trying to fix it...

I remember before I got pregnant and pretty much all my life, I would think: goodness, pregnant women are so beautiful and so cute! I can't wait to be pregnant! I honestly didn't understand why pregnant women felt fat at all! I thought that baby bump was the cutest thing ever! Now, fast forward to these past two weeks, all I can say is....I'm so big!!!! I love my baby boy, how he moves, the cute things he does, having a belly, being pregnant, etc etc It's being a wonderful pregnancy. But! I honestly feel big, specially when I saw how our maternity session turned out... I just felt .... really big, so I thought: well, I love the pics, but that outfit makes me look fatter...we might as well take some more pictures with a different outfit so people see I'm really not that big...So here you go, my attempt to fix it (attempt hee hee), but yes, my belly is huge, although I love it! I keep being stopped at every store I go to and all I hear is: you're having twins aren't you? or... man! you are big! or... you're having a boy right? cause you are huge! lol

It really doesn't offend me :) It just makes me proud of my little boy! And I can't wait to see my baby boy and find out if he is just going to be a cute little chubby boy like his mommy was, or if he is just a loooong boy like his daddy (or if there really are two in here!!!) Two weeks to gooooo!!! Wohooooo!!!!!

I love family sessions!!!!

This is what happens when a family just has fun during the photo shoot! It is not us and our pictures, it's them and their feelings! There were so many images I wanted to share with you... actually I ended up with 200 edited final pictures because I couldn't decide which ones to post! They all were so cute with all of them laughing and enjoying each other! I think families are becoming one of my favorite things to take pictures of :)

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to take pictures of a very cool family! We had a great time with them! And they were so easy going! There is nothing like working with a family that trusts you and your pictures and will do whatever you ask them to do! They made beautiful pictures and we have sooo many pictures of them to share! But here are just a couple I edited as I was downloading them!

Our fall pictures!

Nate and I finally got our fall pictures taken! It wasn't a planned thing. It was more like a: we're going shopping but since the leaves are falling already, let's take the camera in case we find a cute tree to get a couple of shots! Hence my jacket having to be on, because I despised my sweater for the pictures, lol and my hair, totally undone! (it was supposed to be our lazy saturday, so that included not styling my hair...) But really close to our house, we saw a cute area with trees and decided to take a few shots there: of course, with a tripod. It's getting harder to do, since I can't run as fast to go from the tripod to the pose area when I set the timer (you should see me holding my belly to do this). So we missed a few poses and got some shots where the poses where totally me breaking a basket, Nate and I looking at each other with confusion looks, etc etc, but the results of those we cannot share, hehe Anyways, we're hoping to get a professional photographer to do our official maternity pictures, but we get so busy that we don't know how it will work! So we might have to end up doing more tripod experiments! We're going to have to start workshops teaching about self-portraits, lol

Let me add that today was a wonderful day! We reserved this saturday as our special family day to just be together and not worry about anything. It's something we don't get to do very often! We love our lives but we have to admit that we don't get days like this very often and sometimes we miss them! So we have decided to take more days like this. We took it really easy in the morning just having fun with one another, ate ice-cream as our afternoon snack, took a nap, studied and did devotionals, and then decided to head out to do some shopping and eat supper. These last few weeks I just have loved eating bocadillos, paninis, and sandwiches, so that's all I felt like eating today! And then we were able to work it out with a 2 hour walk of just shopping or looking at things for our baby. And we found the cutest outfits for him! My maternity clothing search was not that successful! I'm having the hardest time! To end the day, we found the perfect candle to add a Christmas scent to our house! It smells yummyyyyy!!!And here I am! I can't get over how fun, calm, and exciting this day has been! How much I love my life, my family, God, and thanking Him for giving such an amazing husband that does anything to make me feel happy and good!

Summer trips!

This summer is going to be full of business trips (trips are trips though, they're fun no matter what!). We are going to be going to Virginia, Maine, Tennessee, Rhode Island, and probably a couple of more places! We love love love traveling, and we looove taking pictures, so we are really looking forward to these trips! Meet David and Hannah! As soon as we finished this photo shoot, I just couldn't wait to edit these pictures. I just knew they were going to be something I had been trying to obtain since we started this business. They are a classy and fun couple, and I love the touch they added to our images :) They really thought they weren't photogenic! Well, this proves the opposite! And I totally love these images!

This picture has to be explained! When David and Hannah started to get to know each other, David saw Hannah reading a book, walked toward her, and took the book away from her before she even saw him. It's something they remember very well and that had a meaning to them. So we decided to incorporate that experience in the photo shoot! This particular images is a part of a series!

"Daddy and me" special edition!

This saturday, we are going to be taking pictures of great families and kids for our "Daddy and Me" Special Edition! and we're truly excited! This week, we bought one of lenses that we had been wanting for so long! The 100mm 2.8 macro!!!! We have heard great things about this lens and we are looking forward to trying it at the next wedding for the ring shots. But we have also heard great things about this lens for portraits! So we can't wait to see the results!

Sneak Peek: David and Hannah!!!!

What happens when you have an photo shoot, meet the couple, and it starts raining? PRAY and have faith that God will answer! and guess what? God stops the rain, gives you an amazing light, and blesses your photo session! That's exactly what happened this morning! Hannah traveled down to TN to meet us for their "in love" session. We stayed one more day in TN after the wedding to meet them too. We got to Market Square, and it starts pouring really bad!!!!! But we have an amazing God that never fails us and gave us a great couple to work with and a lot of opportunities for pictures!

Meet Brian and Cassie! A perfect match! We met them for the first time the day of their photo session! And it was great! They both welcomed us and just interacted during the photo session as if we had met before! It was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed being able to take these pictures in downtown Nashville (one of my favorite cities in the US). They are a very cute couple with great personalities!
